I work with people with eating disorders at the outpatient level of care.
This means that clients are medically stable and actively participating with their outpatient team—most often a PCP, therapist, and, potentially, a psychiatrist, coach, and movement providers.
For new eating disorder clients, we will co-establish a schedule for reporting vitals and labwork checks with your PCP office at the beginning of nutrition services.
First Time Working with a Menopause Nutritionist? Here’s Our Process:
🌙Assessment
We’ll begin with intake forms. In our first meetings, we’ll discuss health history and our findings from your menopausal symptom questionnaire.
We’ll review your food and medical history, relationship with food and body image, and menopausal symptoms and concerns.
🌙Supplement Assessment
Many of us take supplements without having the chance to look them over with a trained provider.
Let’s look at the research together and assess your need for supplements.
Melinda does not partner with or participate in supplement affiliate/referral programs.
🌙Regular-ish Eating
For many clients, a foundational approach to working together is focusing on consistent (what I call regular-ish) eating, especially during the daytime.
While finding this groove looks a little different for everyone, eating regularly is a principle of our work.
🌙Plan
With you in the pilot seat, we’ll co-create a plan for menopausal wellness.
In addition to nutrition, we’ll check in on movement, mental health, stress, sleep, and fun.
I’m happy to offer referrals to specialized practitioners through my trusted referral network.
Investment:
I offer two complete package options.
Please plan on working together for a minimum of 5 months.
All clients begin with an Initial Assessment ($250).
Our first meeting is 75-90 minutes long and includes an in-depth conversation about health and nutrition history, a review of your intake/assessment forms, and lots of Q&A.
We’ll determine the best package option for you at our Initial Assessment appointment.
A la carte follow-up sessions are available ($175).

Frequently Asked Questions
-
I see clients at my downtown Bend, Oregon, location, and work virtually across Oregon, CA, WA, AZ, CO, MD, VA, and TX using a HIPAA-compliant portal. State licensing dictates where I can see clients.
-
Meaningful change to shift nutrition patterns chronic health conditions and your relationship with food usually takes months, even years, not weeks.
I invite you to step out of the “30-Day Challenge” model we often see in the wellness world.
I offer two packages to work together for a minimum of five months (the real minimum for behavior change to stick) for brief interventions, and provide long-term, ongoing support for eating disorder clients.
-
While I’m not a therapist, the relationship can feel therapeutic, and I offer resources from some schools of therapy practice.
I’ve heard more clients than I can count call me their “food therapist” which isn’t technically correct, but I get where they’re coming from.
I’m happy to coordinate care with your therapist, and if needed, can help you find one as part of our work together.
-
My primary group of clients are neurodivergent (Autistic, AuDHD, ADHD) adults in the menopause transition.
I also work with neurodivergent adults (all genders) age 21+ . I don’t work with the pediatric population.
-
Possibly.
I work with people who are medically stable, ready for virtual outpatient treatment, and on a spectrum from disordered eating to eating disorder diagnosis.
Outpatient eating disorder treatment involves working with a coordinated care team with a combination of nutrition, therapy, primary care, psychiatry, and movement support.
Please have regular visits with a PCP and an eating disorder therapist in place prior to reaching out to work together.
Many eating disorders go undiagnosed, with a voice saying you must be “sick enough” to seek help.
If we determine during our time together you need a higher level of care than I can provide in a virtual/outpatient setting, I’ll work to help you find resources.
